About

My name is Daniel Cooper and this is my blog.  I live in Bangkok and work for the UNDP doing intranet stuff on SharePoint.  I’ve been a web developer for the last 13 years or so, except for the time I was an editor at FARANG Untamed Travel magazine.

If you want to get in touch, I guess the best way is to send an email to any address @danielcooper.name (they’ll pretty much all go to me).

  1. Hi there,
I found this post which I think belongs to you:

    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/5389284/why-cant-my-sharepoint-2010-enterprise-search-index-a-static-html-site

And I am wondering if you can either provide some further information regarding using sharepoint 2010’s search capabilities to index external web sites or point me to other web resources that might help me in configuring this.

Background: We have a commercial CMS (Ektron 8.5) which uses SP’s FAST search and (ideally) I would like to include search results from some of our smaller sites which are not part of the CMS.

Your post makes me hopeful this might be possible…

Any insight into this would be greatly appreciated!

    – Matt
